Too low a salary and few opportunities for advancement
Wages often seem to play a less decisive role than before.
Yet everyone likes to be paid what he or she deserves. If an employee notices that he or she earns less than what the market stipulates, it is quickly thought that he or she is not appreciated. In addition, growth is an important factor for happiness in everyone’s life. People like to look forward to a next step, a sequel to a beginning, in short progress.
Employees do not leave companies. They leave their colleagues and managers. If an employee has problems with his manager and has no friends-colleagues, he or she will leave soon. Often the company culture determines how colleagues interact with each other. If this is right, you don’t have to worry about turnover too quickly.
Certainty is relative. Sometimes there’s just a better proposal or it’s just time for something new. Essentially the grass can be greener on the other side.
